The Haas Brothers

Twins Nikolai and Simon Haas, The Haas Brothers, began working in Los Angeles in 2016. Their work explores in different materials the aesthetic and formal themes of nature, science fiction, sexuality, psychedelia and colour theory. Their clever use of materials ranging from brass, bronze, porcelain and fur to highly technical resins and polyurethane has set them apart in the world of design and has been recognized by critics and institutions. Since 2015, they produced Afreaks, a collaboration with women artisans in Cape Town, South Africa

Their work is in the permanent collections of the RISD Museum, the Cooper Hewitt, and the Metropolitan Museum of Art. The Haas Brothers currently live and work in Los Angeles, California.
