Following on the 'Seated' sculpture series that began in 2022 with Tschabalala Self's first public sculpture and solo exhibition at Pilar Corrias Gallery, Factum Arte worked with the artist on the production of two new editions of Seated Woman and Seated Man, which were exhibited at Art Basel 2025 (19-22 June, 2025) at Galerie Eva Presenhuber's booth. 

Seated Woman 1, 2025 and Seated Man 2, 2025 were 3D-modelled at Factum Arte, cast in bronze at Kaparos Foundry in Greece, and painted at Factum Arte in Madrid following the artist's original drawings. Particular care was taken into mediating the colourful, materic brushstrokes of Tschabalala Self's style onto the 3D sculptures, using a variety of paints and acrylic markers before the final wax coating.
