La Montagne aux Étoiles is the result of the artist and Factum Arte's exploration of the balance between technology and traditional calligraphy. Drawings by Rachid Koraïchi were printed on painted canvas using elevated printing technology by Canon Production Printing, which is able to accurately build the acrylic relief to the desired height and give an organic character to the calligraphy. The lines are rendered in white over a deep indigo background.

A first production, made for Koraïchi's solo exhibition at Aicon Gallery, marked the start of this exploration of calligraphy mediated across different materials: elevated printing and alabaster.
