As with The Oracle, Infinity's 3D model was provided by Shirazeh Houshiary; this formed the basis of its materialisation as a metal structure that, after several tests, was perfected, sanded-down and hand-painted. Factum worked on cutting this into strategic sections in order to conceal joint areas and create a smooth as a surface as possible. The file was then 3D printed and a mould was created. 

The work was cast in bronze at Esfinge Foundry, who collaborates with Factum Arte in projects involving metal casting, before being painted in contrasting black and grey. 

Infinity was, among other works, protagonist of the exhibition A Thousand Folds organised by Lehmann Maupin in New York (April 30 – June 13, 2020), which was postponed until further notice due to the COVID-19 emergency. It was nevertheless presented on the gallery's online viewing room at Frieze New York 2020.
