Ahmad Angawi (1981, Jeddah, Saudi Arabia) first studied Industrial Design at the Pratt Institute in New York and then completed a master in Traditional Arts at The Prince's School of Traditional Arts in London. Angawi is a multidisciplinary artist who investigates human condition, cultural heritage and environment through a wide range of media. He is inspired by the colorful diversity of Hejaz, the western region of Saudi Arabia and his Moroccan roots. Like his father, the architect Dr. Sami Angawi, he believes in the Islamic principle 'Al Mizan', which praises balance. This belief is for him a rule of life as well as a creative model.
