Mis-registration Spike is a by-product of the Perforations series. A spike, generated from the inside of one of the perforations, was recorded and digitally modeled in three-dimensions at Factum Arte. The digital model´s y-axis was exaggerated and physically routed with the Kuka 7-axis robot in high-density polyurethane. Once materialised, the piece was moulded in plaster and cast in bronze using the lost-wax technique at the Esfinge foundry in Madrid. An iron structure was also integrated within the artwork to hold the piece in place. Once ready, the bronze sculpture was finished with a layer of patina.

The exhibition ran from July 11th to Aug 20th 2016 at Performance Ski, a prime Aspen location, which functions in the winter months as the premier Aspen ski shop.
