Anish Kapoor, 2002

Commissioned by the city of Malmö, Sweden, as part of the exhibition Bo01 and based on Anish Kapoor’s original drawings, Factum Arte digitally produced different contours for each of the 120 aluminium layers. Two centimetre thick sheets of aluminium were water-jet cut and mounted on an internal structure. The sculpture has an independent external and internal form requiring precision engineering in its fabrication.
