The complex multi-media installation Palimpsest and Palindrome is shown for the first time in the Penelope's Labour, Weaving Words and Images. The exhibition, open throughout the summer of 2011, juxtaposes both ancient and contemporary works in weaving and is held at the Fondazione Giorgio Cini, Venice. Manuel Franquelo's work, which features double-sided tapestry, projections and routed text, is shown alongside works by Azra Aksamija, Lara Baladi, Craigie Horsfield and many others.
