Carlos Garaicoa returned to Factum Arte to produce a series of large-format prints for his solo exhibtion Bestiary at Galleria Continua in Beijing.
Miguel Alves produced four large digital prints using Factum Arte's flatbed printer. Dwight Perry designed and built this unique printer to print in large formats and to transfer colour in layers. The technique of overprinting the same area several times helps control the intensity of colour and the depth of the layers and shadows.
Bestiary is the name of a series of big-format photographs depicting animals painted on street walls of Havana. A reference and homage to Jorge Luis Borges, Julio Cortázar and medieval literature, Carlos Garaicoa presents his own compendium of strange creatures and monsters appearing among the urban ruins and propaganda signs.

In addition to these large prints, Carlos Garaicoa also created a new series of photographs printed onto gelantin coated bones. These series revisits and develops some of the work Factum Arte created for his 2012 exhibition Sin Solución.
