Akram Zaatari


Born in 1966, Akram Zaatari is a Lebanese conceptual artist interested in history, archival records and narratives. His practice confronts and contextualizes objects, photographs, letters, and diaries from the past. He founded the Arab Image Foundation in 1997 to collect, preserve and study photographs of the Arab-speaking world.
