Paula Crown


Paula Crown is a multimedia artist interested in exploring the limits and possibilities of cutting-edge technologies and traditional media. Crown earned her M.F.A. in painting and drawing from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. The artist rose to prominence for her work Transposition: Over Many Miles, a site-specific immersive experience installed at the Miami Design District in 2014. Crown has had solo exhibitions at the Aspen Institute (2013), Dallas Contemporary (2014), the Marlborough Gallery in New York (2015) and the Goss-Michael Foundation in Dallas (2016).

She is a member of the board of trustees of the Museum of Modern Art in New York and was appointed by President Barack Obama to the President’s Committee on the Arts and the Humanities. Paula Crown lives and works in Chicago.

The work Paula Crown has created at Factum Arte has been exhibited at The Architecture of Memory (Venice Biennale, 2018), The Mount Analogue (Performance Ski, Aspen, 2016) and The Goss-Michael Foundation (Dallas, 2016), amongst others.
