In November 2002, Factum Arte was approached by the Museum of MARQ and the Diputación de Alicante to make a high resolution facsimile of the sculpture the Dama de Elche which is part of the collection of the Museum of Archaeology in Madrid.
La Dama de Elche is the stone bust of a woman which was excavated in 1897 two kilometres south of Elche. It is believed that this bust is Iberian c. 4th century BC. This book focuses on the production of the facsimile that Factum Arte made of La Dama de Elche. It chronicles the whole process from 3D scanning to the finished facsimile.
