Las Horas Oscuras del Sol was the first egyptian exhibition conceived and designed by Factum Arte working with Fundación Santander Central Hispano for Museo Arqueológico Nacional de Madrid.

It was curated by Erik Hornung (profesor emeritus at the University of Basel) and Theodoe Abt (president of the Friends of the Royal Tombs of Egypt) working with Maricarmen Perez Díez and Begoña Gugel.

The exhibition was built around Factum Arte´s facsimile of the tomb of Thutmose III and contained 27 objects from the museum´s permanent collection. In seven weeks it was visited by 97,000 people, a record for the museum.
