Transfigured Schönberg
Dionisio González and Factum Arte collaborated for the second time on Dionisio's site-specific installation for the Patio Herrerano in Valladolid, Spain. The work opened on October 2nd 2009. Transfigured Schönberg combines a hidden structure that fixes over 300 speakers in suspension with specially prepared music inspired by Arnold Schönberg's Transfigured Night. The multi-channel sound was prepared by Nathaniel Mann.
Working carefully on the weight for the piece to be successfully suspended in mid-air, the installation was made up of more than 300 hand-made speaker boxes and electronic speakers.
